Testing laboratory for the detection of biological agents STS 054
The testing laboratory is accredited for the detection of human pathogens which could be assigned to biological warfare agents. Services are provided by the sections Bacteriology, Toxinology and Virology within the department of Biology. Methods used include molecular diagnostics and classic microbiology, biochemistry and chemistry.
The testing laboratory is composed of following groups:
- Diagnostics of bacteria
- Analysis of biological toxins
- Medical biochemistry
- Diagnostics of viruses (under development)
