Information
There is great public demand for information on the many aspects of nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) risks and threats. This encompasses global and local/individual security policy issues, whether it be the problem of proliferation of NBC weapons or the need to know what to do should there be an actual or suspected NBC-related risk in their immediate environment.
The SPIEZ LABORATORY provides the public with specialist, yet easy to understand information on NBC threats and risks. This task falls to the Head of Information.
The SPIEZ LABORATORY provides the following information services:
- Handling media queries
- Organising visits and roadshows
- Producing printed and electronic information on NBC protection and the SPIEZ LABORATORY
- Ongoing development and updating of the SPIEZ LABORATORY website
- Providing the necessary public information resources in the event of a serious NBC incident
- Handling queries of all types, issuing and distributing specialist information on nuclear, biological and chemical threats and risks for the attention of the authorities, interested parties, companies and private individuals.
